About Thomas A. Cunningham

Thomas is a licensed attorney in the State of Oklahoma, as well as in the United States Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma and the United States Federal Bankruptcy Courts for both the Eastern District of Oklahoma and the Western District of Arkansas. He has also been admitted to the Choctaw Nation Courts. His primary areas of practice encompass Family Law, Probate Law, Real Estate Law, and Litigation.  

Thomas earned his Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Psychology from the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith. While at UAFS, he was an active member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity, holding several chairman positions. Thomas consistently achieved academic excellence, making the Dean’s List on multiple occasions and receiving the highest GPA in his chapter of the Kappa Alpha Order.  

Continuing his education, Thomas obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law, graduating at the top of his class. He also made the Dean’s List and Faculty Honor Roll, excelling in courses such as Constitutional Law I, Trial Practice, Sales and Leases, and Conflict of Laws.  

A native of LeFlore County, Thomas graduated from Arkoma High School. An avid hunter and outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.  

In addition to his legal practice, which includes Family Law, Probate Law, and Real Estate Law, Thomas is very active in the community. He serves as a board member of the Poteau Chamber of Commerce and currently holds the position of Municipal Prosecutor for the Town of Arkoma, Oklahoma.
